Date a live is not the same with Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun, not the same anime. They are going to make season 2 to Date a live. Smile

Date a Live ended with a video preview of a second season so of course, there would be a second season this October, if I'm not mistaken.

Current thoughts on it so far?
Ehh... It's average, generic harem.
In a way, the series stays strong via it's varied cast of characters.
Other than that, nothing really that special.

I think theres definitely a tonari no kaibutsu kun season 2, i kinda like the art, as for date a live, its good enough to earn a second season (I hated the last EP, it felt like it was forcibly closed)

Yep. Felt that way. They should have just aired a single season that lasted for 24 episodes.

i don't really get it why they start with 12 episode and then publish another season of 12 afterwards, they could just publish it with 24/5 episodes from the start

but according to the budgets of animes a 24/5 episode anime count as a season and the 12 episode type are half a season.
but yeah maybe they didn't know how much the anime will do

All that Date A live needs right now is a better plot and more Character Development,.. It has only achieved in being a harem with lots of fan service, the only plus point being the fan-service....
